Fawcett Cottages farmstay in the high country downstream of lake Eildon, Victoria is the perfect getaway for you and your children. We provide accommodation in two seperate period cottages and also a self contained cabin . The children have access to the small animals on the farm. The attractions of the region, including Cathedral Ranges,Marysville,Eildon Dam, Mansfield and the High Country,Snobs Creek Fish Hatchery,Rubicon Valley Horse riding, Fraser National Park and Snow activities at Lake Mountain or Mt Buller are easily accessible.

A Paradise ...A Paradise ...Fawcett Cottage Farmstay is in the High Country of Victoria, Australia. It is the ultimate in friendly farm family fun. Kids just adore our farm with all the funny friendly animals. Our farm is quite unique, it is very much like the Collingwood Children's Farm in Melbourne. Some children spend their whole holiday in the chook shed collecting eggs,others just love feeding Daisy the cow and others take a liking to the goats and spend most time with them.A definite favourite is Chester,the miniature horse. There is always something for everyone here,even down to playing trucks in the mud or on the playground!!!!

Our beautiful  cottages cater for 7 and 10 people each in beds plus  double divans in the living room.There are also two cots available. They each have a fully self contained kitchen with everything you will need as well as a wood fire and  gas or electric heater.We also have a cabin for 2 adults and 1 child available as well.

The cottage gardens and verandas around the cottages provide a restful and private area for guests to relax. From the cottages you can see our donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, our geese on the dam,all kinds of water birds & native birds such as king parrots, rosellas, blue wrens, cockatoos, kookaburras and sometimes even a pelican or two.We have chooks,ducks,turkeys and guinea fowl as well as baby chicks if you are lucky.

Sunset from the porch is an experience not to be missed offering spectacular views of the surrounding hills & the distant Black Ranges.

To Fawcett Cottages come and stay

Then with the animals frolic and play

In Alexandra's volcanic dip

There is a secret a waiting for those given the tip.

 

For within those walls of hills and mounts

Lays a sleepy town where neighbourhood still counts.

And when you want to lay down your head

These cottages offer the most welcoming beds.

 

Settle down before the woodfire's heat

Relax and put up those well worn feet.

For in the morning there's plenty to do

Or nothing at all,if that's more suited to you.

 

Children can play,giggle and run

Making new friends in winter and sun.

Come meet the animals and feed them their tea

Farmers for the weekend,the smiles come free.

 

At the end of your stay when its time to go home

Don't frown in dismay or to one another moan.
